Lieutenant Garcia started his law enforcement career in 1985 with the North Miami Police Department where he worked as a patrol officer and detective. In 1996 he joined the Lake Wales Police Department where he worked as a patrol officer. In 1997 he joined the Highlands County Sheriff's Office where he has worked as a patrol deputy, court bailiff, corporal, sergeant, and currently as lieutenant in Internal Affairs. He earned his Associates Arts Degree from Miami Dade Community College.
