HCSO joins Ring Neighbors Public Safety Service

We are excited to announce that we have joined with Ring Neighbors Public Safety Service!

This is a new way to help us connect with residents and improve the safety of our communities. The Neighbors app allows you, the user, to share photos, videos and information related to local crime and safety incidents so fellow residents can stay informed.

Now, we here at the HCSO can view what local residents have posted publicly to Neighbors and can also chime-in with relevant updates or safety alerts to help residents stay informed. Some of the things you can look for us to post are crime and public safety alerts, missing persons reports, traffic safety issues and more.

Detectives can also reach out via email and request videos to help in the investigation of a crime in your area. We do not have access to your videos until you post them on Neighbors or respond to an email giving us permission to view them, so your privacy is protected unless you choose to take part!

We look forward to working with all of you to help solve crimes!

You do not need a Ring device to join Neighbors. Anyone with a smartphone can download the Neighbors App in order to receive updates and have the option to post photos or videos from any device.

Feel free to spread the word and make sure to always report criminal activity or emergency situations directly to the HCSO by contacting 863-402-7200.
