Radio Communications
Radio Communication Technicians provide in-house installation of all emergency equipment in all fleet vehicles (Certified Emergency Vehicle Technicians), including but not limited to radios, in-car camera systems, sirens, auxiliary lighting systems, gun locks, K-9 systems, and alarms. They maintain and repair all mobile and portable radios, program all radios within the agency and provide radio assistance to 10 volunteer fire departments as well as the county EMS department. They also maintain the supply of equipment in order to ensure a limited down time for vehicles in for repairs as well as maintaining and monitoring all assigned FCC licenses.
