Fleet Maintenance
The Fleet Maintenance unit is responsible for keeping a mixed fleet of over 200 pieces of mobile equipment on the road.
The fleet consists of patrol vehicles, pick-up trucks, 4x4 vehicles, crime scene units, undercover vehicles, K-9 units, a Mobile Command Post, a Hostage Negotiation Vehicle, two boats, an armored personnel vehicle, four-wheelers, jet skis and various trailers.
The Primary Mechanic is Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certified in automatic and manual transmissions, air conditioning, brakes, engines, engine performance, suspension/steering and electrical as well as being an Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT).
Vehicles are serviced on a regular basis to provide optimal performance as well as ensuring extended life of all equipment.
