Patrol

The function of the Uniform Patrol Division of the Highlands County Sheriff's Office is categorized as generalized law enforcement and public safety work, including but not limited to:

  • application of the laws during arrests/searches,
  • court related process after arrest,
  • civil process,
  • crime/accident scene investigations,
  • evidence collections,
  • interviewing and taking statements,
  • providing security,
  • escort services, and
  • community interaction.
We answer calls for service, both emergency and non-emergency, and patrol the areas within Highlands County with a continued effort to reduce and prevent crime. 

In addition, the Special Weapons and Tactics Team component of the Uniform Patrol Division respond to critical incidents as they develop within Highlands County.
