Michele Percy has been married to her husband Russell for 45 years. They have one daughter, Lani, son-in-law Walker, and two grandsons, Kole and Gavin. Michele graduated from Sebring High School, and later got her LPN and RN at South Florida State College, and her Bachelors degree in Applied Organizational Management from Warner University.
During her 36 year nursing career she has worked in medical/surgical, both inpatient and outpatient obstetrics and gynecology, long term care and home healthcare. She began her career in correctional healthcare in 2010 and came to HCSO in 2012.
The Medical Division is staffed and available 24/7. Staff includes: registered nurses (RN's) and licensed practical nurses (LPN's). Services include: medical screenings for acute and chronic illnesses, medical clinic is staffed 4 days a week with a physician and/or physician's assistant (PA's), laboratory, and X-rays. Medical coordinates outside appointments with physician's offices and/or dental exams. Medical also has mental health screenings and counseling with follow up appointments with psychiatrists, psychologists, advanced registered nurse practitioner (ARNP) and/or licensed certified social worker (LCSW). Additionally, medical services administers prescribed medications and treatments, perform physicals, tuberculosis skin (PPD) testing and numerous medical exams.
