Inmate Work Program

Sheriff Blackman supports local non-profits in many ways. One of those is offering the services of inmate work crews to these organizations to help save on labor costs.

Inmate crews have helped out in many places, including helping the Children's Museum of the Highlands move, assisting Sebring and Lake Placid Youth Baseball with projects at the ballfields and doing upkeep on Lake Placid parks through Keep Lake Placid Beautiful.

Inmate crews also are at times tasked to clean up illegal dumping sites.

For information on using inmate labor to help your non-profit, please contact Lt. Chris Ritenour at 863-402-7281.
