Captain Booker Johnson has been with the Highlands County Sheriff's Office for Twenty Six (26) Years. Starting in 1982 as a Detention Deputy, he then transferred to Deputy Sheriff from 1983-2003 and worked through the ranks to his promotion to Sergeant. In 2003-2005 he became the Special Operations Unit Lieutenant, and in 2005 he transferred to Law Enforcement Support Services Lieutenant. Also, later in 2005 he was promoted to Captain of the Detention Operations Division.
